Glenrothes 10 year old

Part of the new Warehouse No.1 release, this is an interesting dram. Finished in a first-fill Calvados Barrique as part of Claxton's maturation programme, this Glenrothes has taken on a lot of qualities from the Calvados cask making it buttery rich with plenty of oakiness. 

Nose: Rich spices. Buttery-rich. Honeycomb. Biscuity.    

Palate: Malty-rich with an oak-smoke with vanilla and cloves.

Finish: Long finish with sherbet and oak in the aftertaste.
